Alana Fiander has been working in operations and administrative roles for over 10 years, with a background in member and donor management. Alana’s experience with the nonprofit industry started with Baycrest Foundation, where she worked for 3+ years within various roles on the Major Gifts and Stewardship teams. She came to the Offord Group after working for Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundation on their Major Gifts team supporting the Brain Campaign.
Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Alana has a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary’s University (2007), a post-grad diploma in Health Services Administration from Dalhousie University (2009), a certificate in International Development Studies from the University of British Columbia (2013), and most recently a certificate in Volunteer Management Leadership from Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning (2018). She is currently enrolled in the Digital Strategy and Communications Management Certificate at the University of Toronto.
Her love of the charitable sector comes from volunteering at many organizations such as art galleries, animal welfare agencies, social services and advocacy groups, International development aids, etc.
