I. DEVELOPMENT COUNSEL

The Offord Group brings unparalleled campaign fundraising and strategic council experience to institutional leaders, boards and development management in capacity building. We work with charities in the following areas:

  • Philanthropic Culture/Change Management
  • Leadership
  • Campaign Communications Strategy
  • Prospect Development
  • Staffing
  • Program Management

The Offord Group’s extensive fundraising and research experience gives us a comprehensive understanding of the challenges of major capital fundraising today.

II. PERFORMANCE BENCHMARKING

The Offord Group’s Performance Benchmarking Study is a cost-effective tool that measures your charity’s development against other charities competing for the same donations, charities you wish to emulate and sector performance by region, province and Canada-wide. The Offord Group Performance Benchmarking Study will help you understand:

  • Benchmarks in your philanthropic sector;
  • Your market share of charitable gifts in your donor community;
  • How your charity ranks amongst peers competing for the same donors; and
  • Strengths and limitations of your fundraising programs.

After assessing your organization’s performance relative to your peers, The Offord Group will consult on areas for improvement as well as help you set ongoing performance goals as part of your charity's long-term strategic planning.

III. RESEARCH SERVICES

Database Assessment
The Offord Group has created a Database Assessment service to help your charity understand which donors on your prospect lists have both the inclination and capacity to give to your campaign.

This donor segmentation and scoring process will allow your charity to effectively target the right donors, helping you to successfully achieve your campaign milestones and goals.

Prospect Research Profiles
The Offord Group conducts prospect research and builds donor profiles for individuals with high-net worth and an affinity to philanthropy and/or an affinity to your organization, specifically.

The Offord Group can help your organization to better understand an individual’s inclination and capacity to give, allowing you to apply customized approaches to securing gifts –a major component in successful fundraising.

IV. PLANNING/MARKET STUDIES

The Offord Group will work with your team to strategically design research that tests the feasibility of your fundraising goal –paying close attention to helping you develop the right Case for Support as well as understanding your market and the inclination of potential donors to give.

Our planning/market studies will provide your charity with such valuable information as:

  • The availability of leadership within the community to spearhead your campaign;
  • Local, provincial and national competitors and your ability to compete;
  • The inclination and motivation of potential major donors to support your initiative at the levels required for success;
  • The impact and endorsement of your Case for Support by potential benefactors; and
  • The likelihood of existing donors to increase their level of support through a campaign.

V. NAMING RIGHTS

The Offord Group provides organizations with assessment and negotiation of ‘naming rights’ agreements for the Canadian public sector. Through a unique strategic alliance with Spectrum Marketing and Give Canada (www.give-canada.ca), we have specific expertise in this area and stand as North American leaders in this field.

No other firm has had greater success, nor enjoys such a proven track record:

  • 145 strategic supplier relationships for 93 public sector, higher education and healthcare clients.
  • Over $500 million in new revenue derived through strategic supplier relationships.
  • Successfully concluded and/or working on 15 ‘naming rights’agreements.

The scope of work for our 'naming rights'partnership program is highly comprehensive and is fully facilitated by our team, in cooperation with our clients. We develop high quality, serviceoriented relationships with our clients and provide ‘hands-on’guidance throughout the assessment and negotiation process.
